Craig Jones is in his fourth season guiding Hanover College's men's soccer program.
In 2002, Jones led the Panthers to a second-place finish in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The 9-9-1 finish matched the school record for victories in a season, produced five all-conference selections and continued to develop a tradition of intelligent and quality attacking soccer at Hanover.
Jones adds a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the program. He played his intercollegiate soccer at Western Washington University in the early 1990s, where he led the Vikings in scoring as a junior and senior. He was an all-West Coast Conference selection during his senior season.
After a knee injury curbed hopes of a professional playing career, Jones turned his attention to coaching. He trained all levels of competitive soccer players in the greater-Seattle area while working with various club and high school teams and participating in the Washington State Olympic Development Program.
Jones relocated from Washington to Louisville, KY, where he coached at the high school level for two seasons before signing on as an assistant at Bellarmine University (KY). Jones worked as the top assistant for both the men and women's soccer programs at Bellarmine before being named as the head men's coach at Hanover.
He is also involved in coaching and directing youth soccer in the area and teaches in the physical education department at Hanover. He received his masters degree in sport administration from the University of Louisville (KY) in 2002.
